I was a ‘different’ little girl, or as my sister would say, I marched to the beat of my own drum. I felt a lot of feelings and connected to everyone. I never fit into a mold, and still don’t. My family called me “La Bruja”, because my hair was always a mess and I didn’t like to match or be told what to do. My heart was wide open to the world. As I grew up and encountered trauma and abuse, it slowly started to close.  

I am a daughter of immigrants who came to this country with nothing, they could not give me much but showed me the meaning of unconditional love. That love is why I am here today. Our parents couldn't afford camp, so we were sent to Colombia every summer. It was quite the contrast from New York. In Medellin, my parents would bring us along to donate toys to homeless children living under bridges. I was privileged and at a young age, I already knew it. I had an inner knowing that I had to do more.

I went on to study International Relations - I saw that as the first step in my mission to save the world. I chose a school with the best program at the time, and I'll never forget my guidance counselor telling me to translate to my father that the school I wanted would be a no-go. “Even if you get accepted, it's not something you could afford.” I turned to my dad but never uttered Mr. Smith's words. And off to American University I would go.

I graduated early. All while having internships most semesters as well as a part time job to pay for my loans. I wasn't ashamed of cleaning toilets while my friends went to brunch. I had a dream of helping the world to achieve.

But my real journey back to myself started 5 years ago curled up on a cold bathroom floor. I was dancing with the darkness after years of experiencing trauma and abuse. There were nights I was not sure I would survive to see the morning. I had begun to feel that I was more destined for death than changing the world. My spirit had finally broken.

Since then I’ve become a trauma informed Certified Yoga teacher and Retreat Lead. I have traveled the world seeking healing in every crystal, in every book, in every waterfall, in every experience and every person I met. All of these experiences taught me that the light was in me all along. So I healed myself. I stepped into my power. I developed my intuition. I finally started to trust my gifts so I could complete my life mission and help YOU heal.

Here I am, ready to share my pillars with you and guide you in building yours. I’ll help you out of dark places and bring you back to your light, the one that's always been in there and isn't going anywhere - the light of pure, potent Self energy. Together we will uncover it.
